Chitwan National Park is a popular destination for visitors wanting to have a good experience of the region’s wildlife. The tranquility and remoteness of the park is one not to be missed. It was declared a National Park in 1973.

In 1984, UNESCO designated it as a Natural World Heritage Site. The park offers protection to 56 species of mammals including the one horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, leopard, sloth bear, wild elephant, striped hyena, Gang tic dolphin and wild bison. There are many species of birds, 126 species of fish, 590 species of butterflies and 47 species of reptiles in the park.

This is a fantastic extension to trekking or many of the other activities available in Nepal.

Detailed itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival to National Park via tourist vehicle, 6 hours. We drive to Chitwan National park in a private tourist vehicle from Kathmandu. During our transport you will come across picturesque Hills and Rivers as we drive through this all inspiring landscape. The drive takes around six hours from Kathmandu. On reaching the resort, you will be briefed by our Guest Relations Officer. After lunch you will enjoy the excitement of a jungle Safari/ Jungle Walk/ Nature Walk with Boat Ride. Meanwhile your dinner will be ready by the time you return to the resort. Overnight at Resort. (All meals included).

DAY 2

Activities inside the Chitwan National Park. After morning tea/coffee we head for a morning tour, which will provide you one of the best times to see the wildlife at its best with a jungle Safari/Jungle Walk.

Then after breakfast we head for a walk through the grasslands and forest upstream of Narayani River. We then take local boats to watch crocodiles along the banks while floating back to the camp where we will have lunch. Late afternoon you will be guided for a jungle Safari/Jungle Walk/visit observation Tower/Nature Walk with Boat Ride and finally back to the resort for dinner. Overnight at Resort. (All meals included)

DAY 3

Early morning activities and same day Departure to Kathmandu by tourist vehicle, 6 hours. Today is the last day of the trip so after a morning tea we go for a bird watching tour as Chitwan is very famous also for it’s different species of birds, which is another attracting factor for the parks visitors. After the tour we head back to the resort, have breakfast and get ready for our scenic flight back to Kathmandu. (Breakfast included).
